My name is Frank W Schober. I am an 90-year-old retired machinist from Birmingham, Alabama. My wonderful wife died 12/18/00, just 8 days before our 55th wedding anniversary (12/26/00). We have seven children and twelve grandchildren.
All MIDI on this site are sequenced by me by ear from MEMORY during my 90 years. I do not read music. These are what I have played and enjoyed during my lifetime and is a hobby only. All MIDI sequences are for personal listening only and are not to be used for any commercial purpose or public performance. PLEASE DO NOT LINK TO ANY FILES AT THIS SITE!

Music has been said to calm the savage beast. God's greatest gift to us is our faith. Music would be a close second and it gives me great pleasure to share my musical talent with the world. My interests are playing music, woodwork, building and repairing clocks, and gardening.
My philosophy is "Our life is God's gift to us; what we make of our life is our gift to God."
Grandpa Schober passed away on Palm Sunday, 2014, a few months after he turned 90 years old.
Frank William Schober 10/3/1923 - 4/13/2014
Frank William Schober, age 90, of Minor Heights, Alabama, departed this earth on Sunday, April 13th, 2014. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Annie Majerik Schober, and his eldest daughter Patricia Ann Schober. He leaves behind his sons William "Bill" A. Schober (Cheryl) and Donald R. Schober, as well as four daughters: Bernadette Schober Diamond (Mike), Catherine Schober Forsythe, Doris Schober Moody (Eddy), and Janie Schober Ingram (Jerrold). He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren: Andy Schober (Jennifer), Adam Schober (Crystal), Capt. Christopher Harding (USAF) (Katie), Matthew Moody (Sarah), Jennifer Forsythe, Jonathan Moody (Luisa), Bert Forsythe, Daniel Moody, Alex Forsythe, and Brett Bolton. Surviving great-grandchildren are Mason Schober, Elli Schober, Noah Schober, Hannah Harding, Sofia Moody, and Christopher Harding. The family expresses grateful appreciation for the loving and professional care provided by his niece Margaret Moody.
Mr. Schober retired from U.S. Steel after 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. Among his many accomplishments he was instrumental in establishing the Minor Heights Fire District, and served as its first board chairman. He loved playing music on his accordion and keyboard, and sharing it on his Grandpa Schober website. He also enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with and building clocks, fishing, and gardening. He was a longtime devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 301 Shamrock Trail, Adamsville, Alabama.
